Making a Difference in the Community
Our employees and staff are dedicated to reaching out to our community to let them know about our services. Southwest Georgia Healthcare Clinics is a resource for individuals looking for access to quality healthcare.
Nurses Office Supplies
School is almost back in session, which means loading up on school supplies for teachers, parents and kids. But Donalsonville Hospital and Southwest Georgia Healthcare Clinics made it their mission to make sure our local public school nurses had their "Back to School" supplies this year too.
We stocked the nurse's office of Seminole County Elementary School, Seminole County Middle/High and Spring Creek Charter Academy.
School Supply Scramble
Southwest Georgia Healthcare Clinics staff and physicians attended the August 6th Seminole County School Supply Scramble. They gave out school supplies and communicated the services offered to community families. More than 350 children benefited from the annual event.
Babies to Bookworms
Dr. Craig Lenz, OB/GYN, leads the discussion at "Babies to Bookworms", a 7-week prenatal education program offered in conjunction with Seminole County Family Connection at Southwest Georgia Healthcare Clinics.
This grant funded program educates participants on the importance of early language exposure for babies, proper nutrition and care during pregnancy, labor and delivery, and other essential topics.
New mothers also receive board books, diapers, wipes, and other supplies to help support their children's development, language, and literacy needs.
Outreach in Seminole County
Tracy Smith, Nurse Practitioner of Family Medicine at Southwest Georgia Healthcare Clinics, spoke at the Seminole County Family Connection Collaborative meeting about the importance of heart health in our community.
Mrs. Smith shared important heart disease statistics, ways to improve our overall health, and encouraged everyone to be "proactive" about their wellness and establish care with a primary care provider.
